The INSP connects and supports over 100 street paper projects in some 40 countries worldwide, and supports new projects in the developing world, to create employment for homeless people.

Ramsay filmed the INSP Civic Reception 2010, held at the Glasgow City Chambers. The video was edited and encoded for the web, then uploaded to YouTube for the public to view online. See the video below:

Ramsay has volunteered his design services to this great cause from as far back as 2007, designing items such as business cards, email newsletter templates and even logo design for Street News Service, the news agency of the INSP.

The original business cards for the INSP were designed in 2008, but Ramsay recently updated the design and information to include new members of staff, job titles and contact details as you can see below.

The team have a number of ‘Chairpeople’ from across the world and were holding a board meeting in their Glasgow office, providing Ramsay with the perfect opportunity to take updated staff photographs, a few of which you can see below.

I have worked with Ramsay several times, whilst working for 2 different NGOs. He has volunteered his design and photography skills on a number of occasions, in support of our charitable work. He produces work of an incredibly high standard and has managed to fit in voluntary work around a very busy schedule, for which we are very grateful.

The Ship Website

The Ship (aka ‘The Ship On The Shore’) is a seafood restaurant and bar located on the Shore in Leith, Edinburgh.

The Ship’s identity was developed based on some existing features (such as the typeface ‘Kimberley’) and the newly-created art by Davy Macdonald that will feature on the restaurant’s own-brand champagne label.

Whether it’s just a drink and a light lunch you’re after, or our luxury seafood ‘orgy’, accompanied by our own Champagne, The Ship offers informal, understated excellence. We aim to supply Scotland’s best seafood dining experience.

The website is fully content-managed allowing the client to update the menus and other content on the site. A Twitter and LinkedIn account were created and integrated into the website to allow The Ship to use Social Marketing to target potential customers online.

Catherine is a professional photographer based in Central Scotland.

Ramsay was also resposible for the design, manufacture and installation of the stainless steel sign in the new Gallery.

As well as being one of the UK’s leading Livestock Photographers, Catherine specialises in a wide variety of fields, including; Weddings, Portraiture and Fashion Photography.

She prides herself in producing unique, stylish portraits that are filled with energy and fun.

Catherine also provides images vital for the marketing of your business, capturing every detail with imagination and creativity.

The branding exercise was based on a previous concept; Catherine’s silhouette is used as the secondary brand imagery. This was decided as the best solution to represent Catherine’s rather diverse range of photographic disciplines she works in.

The MacGregor Photography Website

The new logo was designed using a smooth serif typeface for the ‘MacGregor’ part, and a wide-tracked sans-serif typeface for the ‘photography’ part. The ‘O’ in MacGregor has been stylised with the iconic shapes of aperture blades in a camera.

The general brand look is black and white, with the use of images with thin white borders and drop shadows to represent printed photographs.

After some considerable rush due to the opening of the new Gallery at Knockraich Farm in Fintry, the new website is available at: www.macgregorphotography.com

The new website makes use of other web-based services such as Flickr, Twitter and OnlinePhotoProof to allow Catherine a degree of control over the content that is displayed on the site.

KwikFit Insurance Logo

Working in association with a Glasgow-based design agency, Ramsay developed new designs for various elements of KwikFit Insurance’s marketing campaign, including:

• Corporate Social Resposibility (CSR) microsite
• Website landing page
• Gadget Insurance purchasing process for website
• 2D animation advertising their Quarterly Staff Awards in Autumn 2009.

Allanfauld Farm is a family farm run by Archie and Libby MacGregor, situated close to the town of Kilsyth, deep in the heart of the Scottish countryside.

The MacGregors have been farming the land on and around the Kilsyth Hills since 1926 and wanted to bring their business into the 21st Century with a new brand and website to display their Livestock and Accommodation services.

Ramsay overcame the problem of accurately reflecting both the Livestock and the Accommodation aspects of Allanfauld Farm by neutralising the look of the brand. Instead of displaying the contrasting graphical representations of each of the services,  the fact that Allanfauld Farm is based in Scotland and has a rich Scottish heritage was promoted as the main selling point.

This was achieved with the use of a small amount of the MacGregor tartan and an image of the Saltire Flag, the National Flag of Scotland. The brand is also photography-rich, helping draw focus towards Allanfauld Farm’s location and heritage.

The newly-designed Allanfauld Farm brand was also applied to a fully Content-Managed Website to allow the client to update their livestock and photos online, with access to a latest-news facility to keep visitors to the website informed on events and news.

The new brand and website project is complete for Edinburgh-based Denise Campbell’s new company Alma Learning.

Salento B&B website

Purpose-built Salento Bed and Breakfast was built in 2006 and has now entered the digital-age with a website displaying the B&B’s credentials and providing an online-booking system via Visit Scotland’s ‘web in a box’.

Saltmark has won critical aclaim and featured in many film festivals including: Encounters Short Film Festival, Dresden International Short Film Festival and the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
